How to Get from Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Casablanca is approximately 400 km from Chefchaouen. The journey takes about 5 hours by car or 7 hours by bus. Multiple transport options are available for this popular route.
By Bus
About 7 hours for approximately 150 MAD (~€15) via CTM. There is one direct trip per day, departing at 13:45 and arriving around 21:00.
By Car
About 5 hours by car. The recommended route: take the highway from Casablanca to the Asilah exit (about 10 km past the Larache exit), then take the N2 road. Continue to 'Crochet Blanco' (+30 km), turn right to Hotel La Paloma crossroad (+15 km), then right again (without entering Tétouan). Your last straight line to Chefchaouen is about 40 km.
By Train
Take the TGV from Casa Voyageurs station to Tanger (2 hours, departures every 2 hours). Second class: 250 MAD (~€22), first class: ~320 MAD (~€28). From Tanger, take a CTM bus to Tétouan (45 min), then a taxi to Chefchaouen (~1 hour).
By Plane
Royal Air Maroc offers flights from Casablanca (CMN) to Tétouan (TTU) from ~80€ return. Flight time: 1.5 hours. From Tétouan airport, take a taxi to Chefchaouen (~1.5 hours).
