How to Get from Tétouan to Chefchaouen
Tétouan is the closest major city to Chefchaouen, located just 65 km away through the stunning Rif Mountains. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and offers breathtaking mountain scenery.
By Bus
About 1.5 hours for approximately 35 MAD (~€3.50) via CTM bus line. Buses depart several times daily from Tétouan bus station. This is the most affordable option.
By Car
The drive takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Take the N2 road south from Tétouan directly to Chefchaouen. The road winds through the Rif mountains with spectacular views. The road is well-maintained but has many curves.
By Taxi
Grand taxis (shared taxis) depart from the Tétouan taxi stand regularly and cost about 40-50 MAD per person. A private taxi costs approximately 250-350 MAD for the entire vehicle.
